A late surge in entries saw a good roll up of competitors to the Repco/Taylors Parts Track Championship round four at Ironbark Raceway on Saturday. Bikes, Street and Fast Street saw the best entries, also there was a good lineup of Burnout cars. It was a beautiful Winters afternoon and a great spectacle for spectators with vantage positions on the hill, with the bar area being a really popular place to view the proceedings.
Fierce competition was the order of the day especially in the Fast Street class. Grant Whitmore was in the thick of it as always in his amazing EH Holden.
I'd say the best of the days action came from the earlier model Commodores, the likes of VC, VH and some wonderful VK's. Denis Ranford, Mick Tattam, Damo McHugh, Scott Walker and Jamie Young really provided a stellar performance, not to mention also David Kipping in his fabulous HG Holden Kingswood.
Fastest pass of the day went to Andrew Hoey in his Dragster with a 114.27MPH pass, well done Andrew.
Bikes were great too with the veterans out in force with the likes of John Silvester, Peter Dennis and Warren Dun.
Burnouts saw a couple of amazing performances from Rob Johnson and Fred Kingdom which certainly entertained the crowd.
